Well, England have limped through, same goes for France who took a beating from Sweden.

I don't like England but the prospect of seeing them fail to Germany again excites me, that being said England has seemed disciplined this tournament and they finally have a good keeper so the Italy/England game should be close

    Re: Euro 2012

Italy won in the end, but it's hard to imagine them going to the final having been taken to penalties in the last of the quarter finals. I found Hodgeson's choice to keep Young on and take Milner off bizarre, and I would have preferred to see Rooney come off as well. He may be one of England's top ten goal scorers, but he's got the worst goals per game record of the lot:

England national football team - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

England can't keep the ball, can't really pass the ball, and remain wedded to the 4-4-2 for some reason. After the match Graham Taylor said that the 4-4-2 didn't work when he was manager, and he left in 1993.
