    Thoughts

I may not have gone to this, the first iO lan, but watching the stream and looking at pictures has made me realize that iO is not a simple group of random people who just like similar computer games.
iO is much bigger than that, everyone in iO is family, and do not think otherwise.

I'm happy to be a part of that family, and I'm going to pull strings to make it out to the next one, come hell or high water.

Cause once they see us, they already know. it's Over.

I agree too. The streaming felt like we were there in person. I watched it with Jelle for like 5 hours staring at a blank wall but it was fine :P. Nice to see lots of iO people there .

people say that online friends aren't "real" friends.
but i think i spend more time with my gaming friends than i do with my friends around town.
its easy to log into steam and know u have a handful of people waiting to do the same thing u want to do.
and being part of iO just makes it even better. because we recruit the best

Take it from a old guy, it ROCKED ! The biggest think to me was putting faces to all the people I have gotten to know over the past 2 years. It was awesome !

Well Said iCeMaN! Had a great time, a mild heart attack from energy drink overload, and some more liver damage from the 400 beers i drank......All worth it though! Good job Nicky!

    Re: Thoughts

I had written up this large post last night, got about 6 paragraphs in, and just deleted it all. To simplify those words, it was better than great to be able to meet you all face-to-face. iO is the Boys & Girls Club or the YMCA of online gaming. We're a large community, but we also have a lot of friendship in common for one another. It's the people who go beyond what is expected of them that makes this community shine, and all of our generous and excited gamers that make this a place of home for me when I'm playing online.

Thanks to Nicky and the rest of you guys who helped pitch in to make this a great event. Despite the gripes and frustrations, it was a huge success and tremendous amounts of fun. I look forward to seeing all of you guys and gals, and the ones who could not make it this weekend, the next time around.

A very fun and memorable weekend. Was great getting the opportunity to hang out with the friends I play with regularly and some I just met at the LAN.
