It's good, but it gets boring after a while if you're into FPS. I was quickly pulled away. I'll leave to Voudoun to give the best explanation though lol

    Re: Im Thinking....

Nicky has a point in that if FPS games are your thing then your attention may not be held by Guild Wars 2. However, I think the mistake that some people have made is that it doesn't have to be. It's an MMO that can be played whenever you feel like it. You don't have to grind to get everything. There's no monthly fee so you don't have to play to get your money's worth. You can play it as much or as little as you like. To top this off there's new content, for free, once a month at least. So if you return there'll be something more to see. Some of it is time limited, but it's not the end of the world if you miss it, because there'll be more within weeks. One downside here is that most of the guild have treated it like an ordinary game, one that you put down when you're done and then never touch it again. It's a shame, because they've missed an awful lot.

The game plays well too. I could talk a lot about it, but it'd be simpler to just link to the Angry Joe review, so it's below. One thing in his review is out of date: the trading post is active, and was only inactive when he reviewed it because of early security issues.

Is it worth the money? Depends on what kind of games you like, but it's high quality, has an awful lot of content, and fixes a lot of MMO problems. Take a look on youtube for more gameplay footage. I don't know if this helps or not, but I'm ill at the moment, and so not at my best. Over to Angry Joe.

PS Forgot to add my opinion: it's a really good game, and the amount of content combined with the frequency of updates more than justifies the price.

    Re: Im Thinking....

Sooo, just a quick few questions.
1, How is the overall player base? Not skill wise but helpfulness? Are they douche nozzles and dont want to teach a new player tricks or strategies? That is one of the biggest reasons why I left WoW, the "Eliteness" was just too much for a person that doesnt have umteen hundred hours a week to play.

2, Raids/instances. Are there huge, exceedingly long instances like Naxx or Ulduar in WoW? If so are they the only ways to get top tier gear? I understand that a MMO will have these but about 3hrs is the max that my focus can stand in my old age.

3, Professions/customizations, are there professions and are they reasonable to accomplish? WoW did a good job with them but I always felt they were not useful at the level you were at, only at max when they became useful.

4, How much can be done by yourself? Torchlight 2 was excellent with single player while still retaining the RPG/MMO feel. Are there instances that can be done by yourself and scale if your party grows?

    Thanks in advance for answering

    1. The player base is very helpful, i can always find someone to help me find a location or help me kill a boss

    2. Although i haven't played Wow, in GW2 there's nothing that takes 3 hours to complete

    3. The jobs are great for lvling your character up, and there's endless customization

    4. Alot can be done by yourself until you get to the lvl 70+ areas where it is nice to have at least 1 more people or more

    Re: Im Thinking....

Thanks for getting back, sounds good, I may pick it up in the next few weeks (work is stupid busy right now). I always liked the MMORPG feel but I dont always want to get into it (not the bickering, the social aspect as I work late and just want to unwind) with other players all the time when I have to get a quest or a certain item/gear.

and didn't I buy some video cards from you a while ago? Name sounds familiar but I cant remember.
