    DayZ Mod iOS Application

Just letting people know that play DayZ, I have recently submitted an application to Apple to get put on the App Store. It's basically the DayZWiki on your iDevice. I will update this with a link and -stuff- when it get approved. I'm guessing it will be awhile with all those app updates coming in for iOS 6.

    • The app is supported on iOS 5 and up (All devices that run iOS 5 too...)
    • It is free (Supported by unobtrusive ads)
    • Does not natively support the iPhone 5 or iPad screen sizes, but will still run on those products. (We will see how popular it gets before I put even more work into it)

    What do you guys think?

There is currently already an Android app for DayZ (Not by me), though I will consider it (I heard it was... not quite good).

I'm just going off reviews and some people I know that have Android. Don't take my word for it.

i assumed you were talking about the android API/platform in general, but now i reread your post and see it could be ambiguous (you might have been talking about the DayZ app already created for android)

i dont know anything about developing for iOS but android is super easy if you can use ecplise (you might have to install windows or have a windows machine available, i dont know for sure that everything will work seamlessly on a mac (the plugins for eclipse that is - obviously you could write it all on anything))

there really isn't much of a reason not to port it, since it doesn't look very difficult to implement it

Oh, no I was talking about the app that is for Android, not Android itself. I will look into it, however it will be some time before it come out. Plus, I don't have an Android device to test it out on...

And to be honest, I don't even have a true Mac I work on. (Hackintosh lol. I went with this because I already have a computer, Mac is expensive, and my PC has better specs than most macs out there right now.) I've got my big gaming desktop and my 15.6 laptop with Windows 8

HAHAHAHAHA to be honest that was my thought process when i was deciding between which platforms to get a start on. edit: that is, either vmware or dual

the cool thing about android is the emulators(iphone has a similar setup from what i can understand) - so it is pretty easy to test - the big issue with android is the multiple screen densities and sizes, and for the most part, your app seems pretty simple, so that isn't a problem at all.
