    Laptop wireless issues!!

My 2.5 year old Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop worked fine at 5 pm yesterday. When I got to class 45 minutes later, my laptop was no longer able to find wireless networks.

    Things I've tried:
    -System restore
    -Disabling/re-enabling the wireless card
    -Reinstalling the wireless card driver
    -Repairing winsock
    -Running dell diagnostics
    -Hitting fn + f2
(thanks to rev bud green and lunatic for their suggestions)

    Other things I've done:
-Determined that my ethernet connection works
-Determined that the wireless card shows up in the device manager and is "working properly"
    -Chatted with tech support

    Things I didn't do:
-Pay $130 to talk to a SOFTWARE tech support guy
-Pay over $200 for a 1 year software warranty which apparently comes separate

    Where I'm at now:
-Just reformatted back to Vista (from a 7 upgrade)
-Spent an hour manually installing drivers because the driver cd had like 3 drivers on it
    -Still no wireless connectivity

I have finals in 2 weeks and now I'm stuck here with a laptop that now basically functions as a lightweight, downgraded desktop.

Please tell me that somebody has some clue how to fix this. Please please please please.

    Re: Laptop wireless issues!!

...so... after all that, I just restarted for fun, and it's working. Conclusion: Dell is horrible.

    (Feel free to delete this.)
