Re: SLI or get a new card for BF4?

Okay... I see what you're saying. I thought you were recommending a single 7950.

BF3 benchmarks do put the 7950 Crossfire over the 660 Ti SLI: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 Review > Benchmarks: Battlefield 3, Crysis 3 - TechSpot

If I can sell my current card for $180 and I buy two 7950's for 205 each, that costs me $230 total.
Another 660 Ti will cost me $275.

Wow... you're right! That does look like it's the way to go.

Do you think I should wait until October for the HD 9000 series cards, or just go ahead and jump on it now?

Re: SLI or get a new card for BF4?

I myself wasn't able to wait till October. I went for a 7990 and so far I have been very pleased with it. A single HD 9000 series aka the new "R" Series won't be able to beat a 7990 (2x7970 on a single card). I heard the price for the top of the line new "R" series card is around $500-ish. Plus we don't know if they will have issues. I have also read that it will be a Gtx Titan killer. Can you wait? If you can, you should.

EDIT: Here is a photo of my massive card.

Re: SLI or get a new card for BF4?

I guess I'll wait until the new card series comes out and see how much they cost. If not, crossfired 7950 seems like the best way to go especially with the recent price decreases.

Re: SLI or get a new card for BF4?

I know I'm kind of late to the party.. but..
My gtx 460 died on my the week before Christmas. I've got the 760 SC now. All Ultra Graphics now from low graphics. I'd recommend getting this card for BF4 for anyone in the video card market.
