id start with not minimizing the game. lol.... its bad for these types of games, they weren't made to be minimized if you knew how they were programmed youd see why; if you need something from your desktop just play in a windowed mode.

Mine used to crash if I alt-tabbed out but I just started to play in windowed mode. If you put "-noborder" in the launch options it will look the same as it does in full screen. You will see a somewhat of a drop in fps though.

Alt -Tab always messed up the game it would lock up or the colors would go weird. I started using the windows key to get to the desktop it doesn't seem to effect the game doing it this way. At least on my computer.

so lots of people have this problem i see .. well the only times i need to minimize would be to move to different channels in vent or something like that but i'll try using the windows key and see if that works .. i usually have my windows key turned of cause i didnt wanna accidently press it.

    thanks for the advance guys

if you minimize it you get weird colours especially in the water lol I was always confused as to why the water changed colours in 2fort and than I figured it out I minimized the window so I just use windowed mode makes life easier
