    Mass Effect comes out today!

Anyone picking this up besides me? Wondering how much will be different between the PC and Xbox 360 one.

Nah. I won't be grabbing it. I never liked it on XBox360, so I doubt that'll change.

I thought this didnt come out till the 30th. Hmm.

Either way, I wont be able to afford this till next paycheck, or possibly the paycheck after. And I definately will be spending the extra cash to buy it.

It looked good in commercials. I'll have to TRY it before I CONSIDER paying for it.

I love Bioware games. I think they make some of the best RPGs.

I'm having problems with it. I have Vista and there seems to issues. As soon as I launch it, it crashes with no messages. Anyone else have issues? I can not remember having a problem with a game before where I could not play it.

Nah man I haven't had that issue but then I'm only one person out of a lot ;p What kind of system do you have? SLI? Video Card? Sound Card? Overclocked? Got the latest drivers? Anything running in background (virus scanners, spyware, etc..) ?

Found the answers to my problems. Had to go in and turn off the Microsoft user account controls. If you're building a game to run with vista, why can't it run without jumping through hoops.

    I dunno, man..
Bioware seems to have gone downhill since the days of Black Isle.
Black Isle set the bar pretty high as far as RPGs are concerned, and I just haven't played one from Bioware lately that tops them.

Aw.. fond memories of BG 1 and 2 . Only other SP games that ever held my attention like them were probably Deus Ex, Max Payne 1 and HL2.

Black Isle? They mostly publish games not develop them. Black Isle's main titles are Fallout, Planetscape, and Icewind Dale. They only published Baldur's Gate, not developed.

BioWare *developed* Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Knights of the Old Republic 1, Jade Empire, Neverwinter Nights 1, and now Mass Effect.

Now Fallout was very good. Icewind Dale? Eh wasn't bad...

Imo BioWare blows Black Isle out of the water.

Buzzkill, You didn't like Max Payne 2? I also really enjoyed STALKER. I like a game that can have different endings, not different paths to the same ending.

I have it on the 360. It's a pretty cool game.

For some reason I had a lot of problems trying to get Stalker to run good. So I never really got to play it.

When God gives you lemons, you had better use them for the purpose in which God intended. Because if you don't, you will be fined, stoned, sacked and excommunicated by your local religious affiliation accordingly.
