    Spore

Anyone else looking forward to this? I think it looks pretty neat.

This video shows Robin Williams creating a creature on Spore, it's pretty hilarious.

your getting your head in the clouds - this is a viral game, that will keep you wanting until they release it and it sucks, and you can't do any of the stuff that they advertised, then, you finally kill yourself. its JUST LIKE MS FABLE!!! (oh no!!)

if this game is as awesome as the PR guys make it sound, then HELLLLSSS YEAH.

my only worry is that all the creatures will look different, but be the EXACT SAME thing.

lol its more like the Sims 2 (it is NOT JUST FOR GAYS AND SKANKY WOMEN GOD DAMNIT! STOP LAUGHING AT ME!!)
if sims 2 is something you couldn't ever play, you probably won't like spore. really its the open ended ness that is what everybody wants, because sandboxes are awesome. we used to have one when we were little. GTA is a sandbox game.

    Duke Nuke 'Em?

I have been waiting for Spore since they announced it.

Duke Nukem, Spore, Warhammer Online.... blah.

Duke Nukem has been vaporware for over 10 years now. That new video wasnt the first time they released a teaser for the game.

By the way. Can someone explain to me exactly what exactly a Sandbox game is?

where its completely open ended. GTA 4 - for the most part, you can go anywhere and get anything ever. there is no linear sequence.
what ISNT a sandbox game? Prince of Persia - basically a story that you play along to.

I enjoyed all the Sims games, but have no idea if I'm gonna get this game or not.
Probably, but there are some better games that I would like to get my hands on first.

Not my game. Now if you could shoot them and bring on the apocalypse to their world like 2012 years after they have been mating and making stuff, evolving etc. Then I would play it.

I remember getting on my friends 14k modem and it was screaming. Ooo faster than 9600! Back in the days of the bbs.

I also remember saying stuff like

"Why the hell would anyone need 128 megs of ram."

"What would someone put on a 500 meg harddrive?"

Getting excited when cd-roms went to 3x.

I worked at gateway around then and I remember we could take a copy of windows home whenever. I took winders 95 home the day it came out. I was so excited, I went home and installed it right away and made a party out of it. So nerdy sometimes.

I loved daisy-chaining a couple computers together and firing up a deathmatch game of Doom, Doom II, Quake, Heretic, or Hexen.
