i game on my laptop, its nothing special but it does the trick.
    dual core 1.8ghz
    2gb ram
some crappy video card, x1400 i believe

My PVR has more power than my laptop. i also play while sitting on my couch, so my mouse pad is a couch cushion. talk about high tech i might be a few frags better if i setup on a desk, but that already has 2 computers, and the wife an kids pretty much use that space all the time.

goaT, my brother has that model He says that the size of the machine is getting kind of annoying and when he was first setting it up, some of the wires wouldn't reach across to the motherboard. It was kind of sad.

lol, no love for 64-bit Echo? My Vista x64 has been running alright I guess, without too many hitches. Only thing is that my old M-Audio soundcard doesn't have drivers for 64-bit OSes.

    Anyway, my desktop is:
    Intel Q6600
    4 GB RAM
    8800 GTS 320MB
    Dell 2407WFP
    Mackie HR824s

I also game on my Dell laptop sometimes, and it runs TF2 fairly smoothly at 800x600 and everything on low. Best part of my setup is that I'm in Maryland, so my latency to the iO servers is awesomely low.

So far I've had no end of compatability issues with the 64-bit OS. Antivirus programs, X-Fire, and just recently iTunes. Goddamn. It runs fast, yes, but its almost not worth it right now.

BTW, my rig cost just over a grand of my hard earned money. :P
