    6/18 L4D2 Update

L4D2 is understandably one of the less popular games in iO, but still worth posting, I am dissapoint, Valve.

Updates to Left 4 Dead 2 have been released. The Versus updates will be coming to the Xbox 360 in the near future. For PC users, the updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

    Addon Update
Fixed a crash when the vpk file limit was reached.
Fixed an issue where wireframes were displayed while playing Addon Campaigns.

    Versus Updates
Added a 25 point scoring penalty for using a Defibrillator.
Scaled dynamic Defibrillators based on map length with a maximum of 1 per map.
Removed dynamic Pill conversion to First Aid Kits.
    Removed Explosive Ammunition.
    Increased Jockey damage per second.
    Removed Jockey’s damage delay.
In a nut-shell, face-humpers get more damage, no healthpacks, and defibs are one per map and have a point reduction in versus. I think they just killed Versus for me.

I don't know... 1 defib definitely makes it worth taking once you find it as you know it's the only one. Unless they meant one for each 'section' of campaign in which case that's utter shit. I like the penalty of 25 points for the defib. Not sure why, but I do.
Jockey damage output was balanced in terms of what they can do when they pull someone into a crowd so I'm not sure buffing their base damage output was such a smart idea.

This update makes vs mode more unfriendly for new players or for people, who don't play this game often.

    Re: 6/18 L4D2 Update

the community has been whining for defibs to be taken out of versus entirely, they compromised and listened to the regular vs players, and the jockey needed a buff it sucked in versus unless the other team was noob. (keep in mind I hate being the jockey soo)

THere was way too much health in versus anyway, me likes.

Me neither. I've been pretty occupied and haven't been able to sit down and have some versus time. I'll send you a postcard.

I have to say the defib point reduction sounds good, so that more people stay down after you kick them out.

I'm not so sure about the jockey thing, it's not a terrible one although attacking during a distraction has been a must-have.
Whether on my team or not, when I'm a spy, you betcha I've got your back.
