Convert 4 Slot to 10+ Slot

I've been playing L4D2 quite a lot recently and I noticed there are servers that allow 10 or more players into the campaign. I tried some of them out and they seem to be pretty popular and can be very fun.

So what I was thinking was how much fun it would be if [iO] created/changed their (1 or both) servers to this format to allow for more players into the game at one time. It would need a good amount of upkeep due to the hectic nature of a 10+ player campaign (I'm guessing about as much upkeep as BF:BC2, but definitely not TF2). Also, I'm guessing not many people play on the current L4D2 servers: 1) because there obviously aren't enough slots for a lot of people, and 2) very few people think a 4-person campaign is fun (or, rather, better than a 10+ person campaign).

I think it would be a very good investment and the majority of the community would like it. Feel free to back me up on this or disagree.

Although the game was balanced for 4 vs 4, it's stale. I like batshit crazy ideas like this. Granted I've pretty much sent the L4D series to the virtual shelf already, I might bust it out for a night of 6 vs 6 or more or some other wacky crap like that!

Re: Convert 4 Slot to 10+ Slot

Thanks for agreeing with me, Thanatos. Now I don't mean to advertise anything here, but I'm just going to use the mgftw clan's L4D2 campaign servers as an example. Hop on L4D2 real quick and search for one of their servers and try it out. When more than 10 people play a campaign at one time (even up to 24 people if you're really serious), the game as a whole instantly becomes over 9,000 times more fun.

I encourage everyone to try it out because it would really get [iO]'s L4D2 activity shooting through the roof.
