    Closed Topics

There is a requirement for recruits to make 25 posts during their probation period, unfortunately all topics seem to be closed to me save 2 of them in which i have no experiece in to be posting on the subject. Can i get some guidance?

What i wanted to post about was Huntsman vs Scope:

Which of these do you snipers prefer? Personally i prefer the huntsman. I think it developes your skills more and is a little better to kill a close range attacker, therefore making it more viable to use than the scoped rifle. With all the Demo spam and spies running around, who wants to be so immobile and zoomed in that they can't easily avoid death. The battlements have become a deathtrap, and the front doors....well i think everyone knows what happens there, unless you on the WINNING team. You get more pipes in your butt than Little Richard at an all male review.

    Re: Closed Topics

We have a modification that automatically closes topics after so many weeks, since we were having issues with people reviving threads over a year old for one-liners that brought nothing to the conversation. If you have one that you think you could positively contribute to, let one of us know and we'll unlock the thread for you.

Also, the 25 posts doesn't need to come from the TF2 section. Our off-topic section is filled with wild and zany topics that anyone can contribute to!

Yup, off topic is definitely the place to get your posts in. There's always something crazy going on in there.

topics that were recently responded to:
    http://iogaming.net/forums/search.php?do=getnew

topics opened or posted on within the day:
    http://iogaming.net/forums/search.php?do=getdaily

Just look around and find topics that interest you. Sometimes, clicking on a random link teaches you new things... like what NSFW means. O_O

ps. both links can be found on the navigation bar at the top of all iO forum pages.

Sorry if you meant all topics related to the topic... i was thinking you meant all topics in general.

    Re: Closed Topics

If you see an old thread that is closed and you have something to say on the subject, just start a new thread. No one will say anything as long as it's not just a spam /postcount thread.

    Re: Closed Topics

    howdy dude,
    1. make the posts worth it so people don't think you're a dick, like me.
    2. With playing as sniper, i never use huntsman. I think it's a cheap way to get points apart from with 1 person, hair trigger who is truly skilled at using it. It's based on luck, if someone enters that spot within the next 3 seconds, it hits. It doesn't require skill as you can't predict where some one will be, unless their 'A' key is broken and they can't help moving right heh. Personally even when a spy/scout is in melee range i'll still scope in for the headshot. The battlements aren't a bad place as long as you're dancing and not wall creeping and getting fully charged body shots.

As you'll come to learn my pet peeve is bodyshotters or wallcreepers. The only time i talk in game is when i rage at either of these hardcore or rage at Danny/Krosen with equal enthusiasm heh.

I don't think people who snipe out of front door are bad snipers because they're focusing on contributing to the game by killing other players rather than just snipers. HOWEVER, if a sniper is down there because i've killed him 8 times and he wants revenge, i think he's a shitty sniper and a coward, no matter how good he is. Even if i'm fighting Bronx/Ray Gun i'll continue dancing and HS'ing on the battlements until i'm blue in the face, to do anything else is to seek an upperhand and in effect, be a cowardly SHITTY FUCKING SNIPER.

To summarize, i don't like using the huntsman, and if you want me to not hate you with a passion, don't bodyshot or wallcrawl. i know you don't, you're a good sniper heh.

On another note, shout outs to fun (good) snipers to play against in no particular order:

    Ray Gun, DannyTf2, Assasin ( :P ), Bronx.
    Meh.
