Fake i7's going out through NewEgg

Newegg Ships Fake Core i7s to Unlucky Customers

Looks like NewEgg has shipped out about 300 fake i7's...D&H is trying to "make everything better" by covering the whole thing up.

Watch out. NewEgg says they're going allow people to RMA their fake chips. But still.

Update: This isn't D&H -- turns out it's IPEX. NewEgg is going to terminate their relationship with them now.

i like how IPEX is trying to say they where "demo" models. Someone on the inside jacked a shipment and replaced them with this garbage. They sure did spend a lot of time since both processors boxes weighed the exact same amount. I wonder how many more they have in their warehouse???

    Not at all.

You cannot blame Intel at all for a sleazy company pulling this shit.
Stuff like this can happen at AMD as well.

    EDIT:

This is a shocker, i love Newegg.com and shop there for almost all my PC parts. Im glad they terminated their relationship with them.
